CSA 3.16 is a standard that certifies ¼” – 8” valves with welded, flanged, or threaded ends for use in natural gas, manufactured gas, and liquefied petroleum gases that are suitable for use between  -76 °F to 356 °F.
The certified pressure range for these valves is 0 – 125 psig, and the maximum permissible pressure of valves installed in these applications is 187 psig.
To become certified, valves must be tested in various ways such as a 625 psig Hydrostatic Shell Test, a 125 psig Aerostatic Seat Test, bending test, and flow capacity tests. Valves also undergo operation and pressure testing at both low and high temperatures dependent on the temperature rating of the testing.

Each A-T Controls CSA 3.16 certified valve has TFM-1600 seats installed, is production tested (seat leak tests in both directions and shell test), tagged with the date the valve was tested and CSA 3.16 year, and operation tested. The valves have been certified for service temperatures of -20 °F to 149 °F. A-T Controls certified 3.16-15 floating ball valves include our F88/F88C Series (1/4” – 3”), F90/F90C Series, and 6” Series 93/93C valves.

We'd like to congratulate Denny Lewis for his 20 years at A-T Controls!
Denny started his career at A-T in Electrical assembly where he also ran our horizontal milling machine making brackets and couplers. He then worked in the machine shop for a few years. Denny moved to pneumatic assembly where he was made the lead man in charge of Pneumatics and the machine shop. He spent quite a few years going out on service calls, helping end users with problems out in the field. Then he was promoted to plant manager overseeing all of Cincinnati production. He made another career change to the role of central planner and was promoted to manager of the planning team. He was again promoted to Operations Manager and then Director of Operations, Cincinnati. Now Denny is the Director of Operations A-T for both Cincinnati and Houston.

PFA-lined ball valves and butterfly valves!!!

LB Series:

The LB Series includes Class 150 flanged valves in sizes ½” – 8”, available in Epoxy Coated Carbon Steel or Stainless Steel. These valves are rated to 232 psi (16 bar), and have a temperature range of -40°F to 400°F. The combination of PFA lining (at least 3mm thick) and PTFE seats makes the LB Series valve suitable for pharmaceutical, food and beverage, paint and solvents, caustics and acids, deionized water, and semiconductor applications. A one-piece ball and stem design with adjustable packing reduces side loading and extends stem and packing life.

AS/ASC Series

A-T Controls offers a lined butterfly valve with a PFA encapsulated disc and PTFE seat for superior corrosion resistance against severe chemicals and corrosive services. The AS Series butterfly valves are available with Stainless Steel CF8M or Epoxy Coated Carbon Steel WCB bodies up to 24” in Class 150 lug or wafer configurations. A-T Controls stocks the AS Series valves in sizes 2” – 12” with Epoxy Coated Carbon Steel WCB bodies in Class 150 lug and wafer configurations for your immediate needs.

A-T's Quality Control Manager, Pete Vezey, shows off his 2019 KTM 1290 Super Adventure S. It has 160hp and goes 0-100 mph in just 4.7 seconds. Meant for when the asphalt turns to dirt it's a helluva lot of fun!
